Office of Research Compliance

Mission Statement

The Office of Research Compliance (ORC) provides training and support for faculty, students and staff to promote ethical research practices.

The ORC serves the research community by coordinating institution-wide research compliance policy and procedures to ensure TAMU-CC is compliant with federal, state, and local laws and regulations that govern the conduct of research.  

Services provided include: 

  • Providing guidance on research compliance at TAMU-CC

  • Assisting with the committee review process 

  • Conducting training (workshops, individual, group and classroom sessions) related to research compliance

Rebecca Ballard, Director
Serves as the University's subject matter expert and provides leadership in the development and implementation of research compliance programs.

Linda Villarreal,
Program Manager
Provides day-to-day management for Animal Welfare Program (IACUC) and Biosafety Program (IBC). 
Manages day-to-day administration for ORC.
