What is the purpose of the Division of Research and Innovation?

The Division of Research and Innovation serves the campus community in our three areas of responsibility. We support and encourage research, commercialization and outreach activities. We also support the Momentum 2020 plan and the strategic goals of the chancellor of the Texas A&M University System and the president of TAMU-CC.

Please let us know how we can help you pursue state-of-the-art research and creative scholarship, commercialization of promising technologies that grow local, regional and national economies, and service to the community.

Who is eligible in receiving grant funding assistance from the Division of Research and Innovation?

For internal funding, it varies with the program. Please see our internal funding page for more details. In addition, R&I staff members are available to assist anyone from the campus community to pursue external funding. Please contact one of our research development officers for assistance. If you are requesting programmatic or event funding, you may wish to begin by talking to Institutional Advancement. IA can connect you to local funders, nonprofits, and foundations for non-research funding.

I have a research idea and need funding; where do I begin?

We would be happy to assist in making your research initiatives a reality. Please refer to this chart for helpful information. You can also contact us or visit our office located at Faculty Center Room 165.

How can I search for grants that could aid in my research studies?

Does my research follow the necessary regulatory requirements?

The Office of Research Compliance serves to ensure that your research is achieved with the highest standards of research compliance. The services provided include assisting with the preparation of committee protocol applications, conducting necessary training, and providing guidance on research compliance at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.

All of the news articles posted on our website correspond to ongoing research that is updated often. If you are interested in having your research published into a news article, contact our webmaster. You can also suggest a story to the Department of Marketing and Communications.
