Winterthur Winterthur Research Fellowships in Art, Culture, History
Approximately 24 to 26 fellowships each year to scholars pursing promising research in American art, history, material culture, and design, or related topics in British, Continental, or Asian decorative arts and design. Applications are welcome from college and university teachers, museum and public history professionals, graduate students and independent scholars.
Alfred P. Slogan Foundation Sloan Research Fellowships
Erica Stella, Fellowship Administrator These awards are intended to enhance the careers of the very best young faculty members in specified fields of science. Currently a total of 116 fellowships are awarded annually in seven fields: chemistry, computational and evolutionary molecular biology, computer science, economics, mathematics, neuroscience, and physics.
National academics The National Academies Fellowships and Scholarships
The Fellowship Office of PGA administers predoctoral, dissertation, and postdoctoral fellowship programs in research-based fields of study. The office currently administers the following programs: Ford Foundation Diversity Fellowships For Achieving Excellence in College and University Teaching, the Resident Research Associateships Program, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Urban Scholars Postdoctoral Fellowships, the U.S. Department of State Jefferson Science Fellows Program, and the Vietnam Education Foundation Fellowships.
CIES Fulbright Scholar Program
This is probably the time period that faculty members might begin to think about applying for a Fulbright. The applications are generally due August 1. In the mean time, the person applying should review the web pages, talk to the program officer(s) for the part of the world they may be interested in visiting as a scholar, and gather a variety of data - as well as develop an application. ~Dr. Harvey Knull
Humboldt Humboldt Fellowships to Germany
The Foundation supports young (under 40), highly qualified foreign scientists and scholars in both the natural and social sciences who currently hold a doctorate or its equivalent to conduct their own research projects in Germany (whether they concern Germany or not). These fellowships can provide a great opportunity for interaction and collaboration with colleagues abroad who are working in your area of study, for new insights into the subjects you are studying, and for long-term professional relationships that can serve as a foundation for future research collaboration. HSIAC Hispanic-serving institutions assisting communities (HSIAC) program
The availability of approximately $7 million for the Hispanic-serving Institutions Assisting Communities Program. Purpose of the Program: To assist Hispanic-serving institutions of higher education (HSIs) expand their role and effectiveness in addressing community development needs in their localities, consistent with the purposes of Title I of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

NEH is an independent grant-making agency of the United States government dedicated to supporting research, education, preservation, and public programs in the humanities.
