Research Misconduct

Allegations of misconduct in research, scholarship, and creative work apply to both unfunded research activities and sponsored research (funded), regardless of funding source. The purposes are to ensure that research is conducted under the highest standards of honesty and integrity and that all data, primary sources, procedures and findings will be properly and thoroughly documented. The credibility and long-term reputation of the faculty and staff of TAMUCC depend on the encouragement, enforcement and reward of superior ethical standards.

Alleged research misconduct may be reported by:

  1. Filing an anonymous report through EthicsPoint;
  2. Filing a report with the Texas State Auditor’s Office Hotline; or
  3. Contacting the Institutional Official: Dr. Luis Cifuentes, Vice President for Research, Commercialization and Outreach.
